Waist sculpting surgery
Only a few women can boast of an hourglass figure. In Kyiv, only Dr. Pavel Denishchuk will help you get the hourglass figure using the innovative Kudzaev method not resorting to removal of the ribs!
Why the ribs shall not be removed
In the past, surgeons removed false ribs (11–12 pair) to achieve the hourglass figure. Such an intervention required a long rehabilitation and was accompanied by a number of complications and dangers for internal organs. After all, 11–12 pair of ribs performs a protective function for the liver, kidneys, and adrenal glands. Also, in such patients, after 3 months, a problem with posture developed, difficulties arose in bearing a child, and the muscle frame was overloaded. This was accompanied with pain during strong physical exertion and dramatic changes in weather.
Therefore, plastic surgeon Pavlo Denyshchuk expressly does not recommend removing the ribs.

How is the procedure done
In advance, a week before the intervention, the patient undergoes blood tests, urine tests, an ECG, a chest x-ray.
A 1.5 cm incision is made in the back area. Ultrasound makes an incision on the 11–12 rib. A surgeon cracks the rib along the cutting. The ribs remain in place and further protect the internal organs, only their shape changes.
After the intervention, the area is sutured in layers and compression garments are worn. The procedure takes up to 1 hour. The procedure can be performed under general or local anaesthesia.
What results can be achieved with the procedure
Cutting of the ribs helps reduce the waist up to 8 cm. By wearing compression underwear during the rehabilitation period, the waist can be even by 2 cm smaller.
What is the rehabilitation process like
Immediately after surgery, the patient may feel stiff. In 3 days, the symptoms will go away.
Immediately on the day of surgery, the patient can be discharged to go home. The main recommendation during the recovery period is to wear compression underwear day and night for 2 months. It is required to prevent oedema, development of complications, fixation of incised ribs in the correct position, and the formation of bone marrow.
The procedure based on the Kudzaev method is less traumatic. The traces of procedure (scars of 1.5 cm) become invisible after 3 months. Special pads and compression underwear protect against proliferation of connective tissue.
